Be Still, The Glory of the Lord is Near

Hi you,

Awhile ago I was reading in 1 Kings about Solomon building the temple when a couple lines jumped out and arrested my eyes.

10 When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord. 11 And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled his temple.

12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud; 13 I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”

I could be taking things out of context, but it seems as if when a cloud was near, so was the glory of the Lord. It doesn't exactly make sense to me that the Lord would choose a dark cloud, but then I remember that His glory is still too overwhelming for us.

So if today you are disheartened, weary, or sad and rain drops are running down the windows of your soul-house, stand still and reflect; the glory of the Lord is near to you.

Love,
